FAQs
Are these original, hand-painted portraits?
Yes. Each portrait is painted by hand with watercolor. You will receive the original painting, not a digitally generated image or mass-produced print.
What is included with a $20 pet portrait?
One pet. One original 5 × 7 watercolor painting. A loose, simplified portrait style based on one primary reference photo.
Shipping not included
What kinds of animals can you paint?
I can paint dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, horses, and many other animals. The most important thing is having a clear photo that shows your pet’s features and personality.
What kind of photo should I send?
A clear photo taken in natural daylight works best. Your pet’s face and eyes should be in focus, and the photo should show the full head and ears whenever possible.
Can I add my pet’s name or a background?
Yes. You can add your pet’s name for $5 or choose a decorated background for $15. Please include your spelling, color preferences, and any special requests when ordering.
Can you paint more than one pet?
The standard $20 portrait includes one pet. Please contact me before ordering a portrait with multiple pets so I can confirm the appropriate size, price, and estimated timeline.
Will I receive a proof or be able to request revisions?
To keep the art affordable, the $20 pet portraits do not include a separate sketch approval or major revisions. Please submit your preferred photograph and all requests before I begin. I will always correct a clear mistake, but changing the pose, photograph, composition, or design after painting has begun may incur a fee.
Will the portrait look exactly like the photograph?
Each portrait is painted in my loose, simplified watercolor style. The goal is to capture your pet’s recognizable features and personality rather than create a photorealistic copy.
How long will my pet portrait take?
Pet portraits are painted and shipped within approximately 2–3 weeks after I receive your usable reference photo. During holidays or periods of high demand, processing may take slightly longer. Any shipping-transit time begins after your portrait has been mailed.
What kind of photo should I send for a home portrait?
Send one clear primary photograph showing the exact view and angle you would like painted. Daylight photos with visible architectural details work best.
You may also send additional photographs showing details that are difficult to see in the primary image, such as:
Door and window details
Landscaping
Porch decorations
House numbers
Areas hidden by trees or vehicles
How long will my house portrait take?
House portraits are painted and shipped within approximately 4–6 weeks after I receive the photographs and complete instructions.
Is shipping included?
No. Shipping is paid by the customer and calculated during checkout. Your portrait will be carefully protected before mailing. Local pickup may be selected when available.
What if my artwork arrives damaged?
Please contact me as soon as possible and include clear photographs of both the damaged artwork and packaging.
Can I cancel or return a custom portrait?
Because every portrait is created specifically for the customer, custom artwork is generally considered final sale once painting has begun.
Cancellation requests should be submitted as soon as possible. If I have not begun working on the order, I may be able to cancel it. Once materials and painting time have been invested, the order cannot be fully refunded.
Can I reproduce or resell the artwork?
Your purchase includes the original artwork for personal use. Audrey Branham Art retains the copyright and the right to display images of the artwork. The painting may not be commercially reproduced, resold as prints, or used for business branding without written permission
